You may only store and transport hazardous liquids in jerrycans that bear a UN quality mark. A manufacturer can only obtain a UN certificate if an independent inspection body has tested the jerrycan on various criteria. The stackable UN jerrycans that we have in our range bear a Y quality mark and are suitable for hazardous liquids from packaging groups II and III. This includes gasoline, diesel and a host of other hazardous liquids.
If you do not know in which packaging group liquid is classified, it is best to look up an MSDS of the liquid online. The MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) includes the packaging group and usually also a packaging instruction.
As standard we have UN hazard jerrycans from 1 to 60 liter in the color natural or blue in stock. All can be fitted with handy accessories such as taps, pouring spouts or pumps. On request we can also supply other colors or different content sizes.
In addition to hazardous liquids, the stackable UN jerrycans in this category are also suitable for water and other foodstuffs. Vice versa this is not the case. You may not use jerrycans without a UN quality mark for hazardous liquids.
Do you need a UN certificate for your business operations or audit? Or do you want to be advised about the UN jerrycans? Feel free to contact us. We are happy to help you.
